They have worked for example with Pia Andell, Lassi Sairela and Sannamaria Kuula.

Project CAPACITY (working title)

”Just me and my capacity, simply bare. Virtuosity, expendable athleticism, durable even industrial. A protest or a manifest?” – Elma Hytönen

CAPACITY (workname) is solo dance performance about capacity. Capacity as a term means an industry’s absolute limit of production in a certain time period. The piece explores the maximality of the movement and the body, as well as optimal structure of the performance. How one can make body seem productive? What is movements actual capacity? Movement wise expansion, the use of force, connectedness and athleticism are the inspirations of the piece.

Capacity’s movement research in the piece can also be interpreted multi-layered. The comparability of the pieces theme to capitalism strives to be a protest and some kind of an awakening in viewer’s thinking. What are the consequences to productivity, maximum performances and consumption?
